About the role:

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: Mon-Fri (flexible PT-FT options)
  • Salary: £30-£40K (depending on experience and hours agreed).
  • Location: Central London co-working space, with fully-remote or hybrid option.

What we’re looking for:

We just closed our first fundraise, so you will be our very first hire! We need a strong operational lead who is comfortable coming into this type of environment and will establish process, structure, and ways of working for the long-term.

You will be instrumental in scaling the business, creating efficiencies, and setting us all up for operational success that will carry us through rounds of growth.

You will be responsible for the complete end-to-end supply chain of the business.

The ideal candidate:

  • 3+ years working within FMCG supply chain operations, ideally within food & drink.
  • Knows what good looks like and can leverage this experience to drive instant impact.
  • Has a strong understanding of financial processes and reporting.
  • Highly analytical with solid Excel skills.
  • Has worked supplying a major retailer before.
  • Experience working with import and export between the UK and EU (US a plus)!
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with a strong problem-solving and ability, and a willingness to get stuck in.
  • Detail-oriented and inquisitive to set and improve processes.
  • Independent and autonomous, while also friendly and collaborative to help establish the culture of our new and soon-to-be-expanding team. 
  • Knowledge in sustainability standards (e.g. B Corp, organic certifications), and management of 3PL would be an advantage.
  • Loves food & drink! 

(Note: You don't have to be everything here, but we'd expect quite of few of these boxes ticked).

Your duties will include:

  • Owning the day-to-date operations of the business.
  • All aspects of procurement (domestic and imported), production, and delivery of goods to our domestic and export customers. 
  • Managing suppliers, including third-party logistics, and warehousing suppliers, as well as sourcing new ones.
  • Leading on longer-term strategic projects related to the supplier network (e.g. new 3PL partners, new products, creating efficiencies, and improving our sustainability and impact credentials at every opportunity).
  • Oversight of technical, quality, and sustainability standards across the business. 
  • Owning the business financials (P&L), including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Running the demand-planning process and being responsible for production planning, stock levels, shipment times and costs. 
  • Organising and tracking shipments of components, raw materials, stock (and our precious olive oil—which needs extra care), including placing production POs.
  • Preparing monthly reports for us to go through as a team on key business functions such as stock, finances, incomings and outgoings.
