About the role:

  • Contract: Permanent FT
  • Hours: Mon-Fri (Flexible working hours)
  • Salary: £30-£35K
  • Location: Hybrid with office in central London

What we’re looking for:

A strategic and detail-orientated individual to help us scale our operations at an exciting stage in our growth. This person will have the opportunity to work on new product projects, so they’ll be able to combine an analytical mindset with creative, problem-solving flair. They’ll be happy to jump from speaking to our external partners and suppliers to analysing data to find new efficiencies and opportunities.

  • Has a keen eye for detail and analytical mindset.
  • Has strong accountability and a solid work ethic.
  • Keeps our customers front and centre; we’re always looking to improve their experience.
  • Has a positive attitude and a tenacious character; things in our business can change quickly, so being comfortable reacting fast to unexpected opportunities and challenges will make this job exciting for you.
  • Will have some experience with Google Sheets or Excel.
  • Proactive, independent and autonomous, while also friendly and collaborative in a small team and with our most valued partners.
  • Will be available to work in our London offices (Farringdon) at least 2 days per week.
  • Aligned with the mission and ethics of Citizens of Soil, specifically wanting to progress a mission around turning a commodity into a community to benefit people and planet.
  • Enjoys working in small, entrepreneurial, start-up environments.
  • Loves food & drink (it’s nice to take pleasure in what you do!)

Your duties will include:

  • Collaborating with the wider team on exciting new product and packaging projects.
  • Working alongside the Sales & Partnership Manager to streamline and perfect our order process.
  • Help onboard new accounts with product information and record new booking and delivery processes.
  • Working closely with our (great!) 3PL warehouse to ensure our customers receive orders on time and packed to perfection.
  • Arranging and outlining details for production runs of our delicious oil.
  • Working with our Operations Lead and external parties to secure goods both UK-based and across Europe.
  • Processing orders and invoices for our sales team.
  • Identifying and improving processes and procedures to help us scale efficiently.
  • Resolving customer service queries to provide quick and ‘going-beyond’ solutions.
  • Being a champion of our sustainability ethos and looking at every decision from an impact lens.
