Process: Superior category extra virgin olive oil obtained directly from mechanical (never chemical) means; achieving 0.3% acidity. The olives are milled within 24 hours of being picked. This oil is filtered.
Introducing this elegant oil produced by the Christofilakos family on their organic farm filled with olives and citrus.

It's then milled by the Valioti family at their state-of-the-art mill to produce outstanding quality and nutrition.

In the end, old traditions and family legacies have mixed with high-tech precision to deliver thoughtful quality, all centred around a community making its comeback.

Tastes like...
Fresh and buttery, with an initial aroma of fresh-cut green grass, followed by the fragrance of artichokes and tomato. On the palate, it has a smooth and delicate creamy feel, with distinct herby notes like oregano and dried basil coming through. The finish here is pleasant with a tingling cracked pepper spice.

Pestos—In fresh, herby sauces like pesto, chermoula, and chimichurris! Perfect to put this over pasta, beans, potatoes.
Salads—Marinating summer tomatoes or drizzled over fruit salads.
Ice cream—Poured over vanilla ice cream with a bit of sea salt, or with crème fraîche over a chocolate cake with berries in the sunshine.

This oil was harvested when the olives were green but turning ripe on the trees. This batch came in at 478 mg/kg of polyphenols, which is above the 250 mg/kg benchmark set by EU Regulation (No. 432/2012) about high-polyphenol olive oils.

Amazing quality olive oil

Started by buying this olive oil from Citizens of Soil and now I’m hooked! This oil is the most versatile out of their oils for everyday cooking as it has a milder flavour. It also makes an excellent gift and have been gifting friends and family. FAQs

The Olive Oil Club delivers a range of delicious oils throughout the year. At this time, you can't sign up for a subscription to just one oil, though you can order larger formats, sets, or our bottles when you need to top-up.
Our producers all farm organically to the EU standard without any synthetics or chemical "cides". However, as we only work with small farms, some have not yet been certified—which is why we cannot legally label them as “organic”, unless it has the certification. Many of them, though, are well on their way in the conversion and audit process (it takes a few years), so we hope to share more soon.
Currently, our Greek oil from Sparta is the only EVOO in our range that can carry the organic certification on its label.
Welcome you to the fascinating, yet very confusing world of extra virgin olive oil. We wrote an article all about the term "cold-pressed" if you'd like to read up in detail, but in short, it is just a marketing buzzword, as by legal definition in the EU, extra virgin olive oil is extracted without any heat or chemicals and only comes from the “first pressing” (more like squeezing) of the olives—which is exactly the definition of our products.
