We’ve always been firm advocates of cooking with extra virgin olive oil, that’s where these re-labelled pouches come in: 2023's extra virgin harvest becomes this year’s virgin cooking oil in our set of six pouches (6 X 500ml pouches).

Our ‘virgin’ pouches are still technically extra virgin, by the standards of the industry—and much better quality than any commodity EVOO you might pick off the shelves. But, because we believe that freshness should be a prerequisite for the ‘extra virgin’ label, we couldn’t in good conscience continue to offer them to our community when the new harvest is already in.

You called for a cooking oil, and we had pouches that needed a home. It was a no-brainer.

Process: Superior category virgin olive oil obtained directly from mechanical (never chemical) means. The olives are milled within 24 hours of being picked. This oil was filtered for quality and freshness.
The middle of 3 daughters in a multi-generational olive oil family, Marina set off on a journey to study the technical quality behind producing the best EVOOs.

When she returned home, she discovered her family’s Spanish olive oil just wasn’t good enough.

So she shut it down and started over. From a new mobile milling machine for precision quality to converting the groves organic—she overhauled everything.

And as a result, she turned her family business from just another olive oil into something outstanding—scooping up awards and recognition in just a couple of years.

Best for cooking, so we don’t recommend these as finishing oils. Harvested over a year ago, their aromas and flavour profile will have mellowed. Instead, use them to sauté, roast, fry, sear, bake, braise or grill.
