Produced by Francesca in Syracuse, this limited-edition bottle was designed in collaboration with artist Hal Haines.

Hal’s bold, colourful brushstrokes are inspired by the landscape of the region, where centuries-old olive trees sit among flowering lemon groves, trailing bougainvillea, and iconic prickly pears.

Whether drizzled over lemon pasta, rocket salads, or paired with anchovies and warm bread—this oil brings a fresh, classically Sicilian feel to the table. The ideal accompaniment to aperitivo, summer dinner party, or the centrepiece for your summer tablescape.

Origin: Syracuse, Sicily, Italy.
Process: Superior category extra virgin olive oil obtained directly from mechanical (never heat or chemical) means; 0.18% acidity. The olives are milled within hours of being picked. This oil is filtered.
Francesca—whose last name literally means ‘olive’—is a tenacious woman who has worked tirelessly to turn her family business into one centred on quality and sustainability.

Her generational ties run deep in this fiery region of eastern Sicily, which she describes as a "land full of cultures and colour", inspiring the exceptional oil she creates.

Tastes like...

Nose: Aromas of green bell pepper and chicory, followed by softer notes of creamy artichoke and red apple. There’s also herbal notes too, like wild spearmint.

Palate: The palate has a medium bitterness that’s short, with a chicory and nutty note. The finish is like a chile on your throat, with a lingering spice.

A fantastic example of fruity and peppery Sicilian olive oil

Fabulous!

Loving the Sicilian olive oil. This is my first bottle since joining the club, although I've tried a couple of different oils previously. This is my favourite so far. I think I'm going to have to increase the frequency of my subscription deliveries as I'm using so much now!

A delicious addition to any dish

Tastes like summer! I’ve been enjoying the Sicilian on pretty much anything - salads, pasta, overnight oats, toast (instead of spread). The flavour works well in these warmer months, takes me back to spending time in Italy growing up. Would recommend.

FAQs

The Olive Oil Club delivers a range of delicious oils throughout the year. At this time, you can't sign up for a subscription to just one oil, though you can order larger formats, sets, or our bottles when you need to top-up.
Our producers all farm organically to the EU standard without any synthetics or chemical "cides". However, as we only work with small farms, some have not yet been certified—which is why we cannot legally label them as “organic”, unless it has the certification. Many of them, though, are well on their way in the conversion and audit process (it takes a few years), so we hope to share more soon.
Currently, our Greek oil from Sparta and our Italian oil from Tuscany are the only oils in our range that can carry the organic certification on its label.
Welcome you to the fascinating, yet very confusing world of extra virgin olive oil. We wrote an article all about the term "cold-pressed" if you'd like to read up in detail, but in short, it is just a marketing buzzword, as by legal definition in the EU, extra virgin olive oil is extracted without any heat or chemicals and only comes from the “first pressing” (more like squeezing) of the olives—which is exactly the definition of our products.
