Beautiful oil!!

I’m not going back to supermarket oil now, brings a whole new level to flavour 👌

I found it very expensive for an oil that is ‘light’ in flavour, and very bitter. Not at all the dipping oil found so often in italian restaurants. Not worth the price. I have though, ordered the Croatian oil since and await, with hope, that this one might be more flavourful.

A little bitter

I am a HUGE fan of Citizens of Soil. The olive oil in the olive oil club is amazing and has literally changed the taste of all the food I eat, I can’t get enough of it. The Tuscan Extra Rare olive oil however is a little bitter for me and not quite as sweet as the other oils which is a shame. Otherwise I can’t recommend this company enough!!

While bitter is considered a very positive attribute in olive oil (and we hear from some people in the community they'd like more bitter oils from us as that attribute represents more of the antioxidant quality, along with pepperiness)—we get it is not a flavour that everyone enjoys.

In case there's an oil that has got too strong of a flavour, cooking with it does the trick. The strong, green flavours soften while heated. This Tuscna oil pairs well with bold flavours, try it on tuna steak or chargrilled vegetables.
